Inclusive Education

Supporting children and young people with additional needs aged 0-19 years.

Specialist teams work with children and young people between 0-19 years who have additional needs.

They provide support in the home, in early years settings, in mainstream schools, in special schools and in some settings for young people aged over 16 years, so that all children and young people:

  • Can learn and achieve success 
  • Have the right to be included in their local community 
  • Have the right to an inclusive educational placement - wherever that may be


Children with Autism
Children and young people with Autism and Asperger Syndrome can achieve social inclusion, meet their educational potential and go on to make a positive contribution to the wider community.

Sensory Impairment and Physical Disability
Supporting the successful inclusion of children with a sensory impairment or physical disability in their local communities, nurseries and schools.

Support for Children with Learning Needs
Supporting the inclusion and achievement of children and young people with a variety of learning needs.
