Background: In 2016 we carried out an EYFS Maths Mastery research project involving reception teachers from 9 City schools and experts from the field of Mathematics including the Mastery Primary Lead and Professors from Nottingham University. Working together we looked at how teaching in a mastery style can be weaved into Mathematics teaching in an EYFS classroom while maintaining Early Years pedagogy.
As part of the project this training was offered during July 2017. therefore this is a repeat and on offer to ensure that those wishing to attend EYFS Number Sense have the opportunity to attend the introduction in order to gain an understanding of the 'Mastery' style and terminology used. Those who did attend the training should book on EYFS Number Sense.
EYFS Maths Mastery - An Introduction to Early Number Sense

It will enable practitioners to introduce a ‘mastery’ style of supporting children with number sense, and lots more!
NB: To advance their knowledge and complete the Number Sense training it is advised that practitioners should also attend EYFS Number Sense
