Safeguarding Children: Refresher - It is recommended that all practitioners update their training every 3 years
Course summary: This half day course ensures that people who have previously attended training specific to their role are updated on safeguarding children issues including changes in national context and local policies and procedures. Guidance on best practice will also be explored.
By the end of the course participants will have:
Been updated about new legislation/current developments regarding Safeguarding Children
- Been reminded about policies and procedures, including definitions of abuse
- Explored further how issues of diversity impact on safeguarding children
- Refreshed their understanding of the responsibilities of agencies and workers to safeguard children
Pre-course information: Delegates are required to familiarise themselves with Safeguarding and Promoting Children’s Welfare requirements and their setting’s Safeguarding Policy.
