Audience: Practitioners who do not currently have a SENCO Role but would like to increase their knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Course Overview: This half day introductory course developed by the Early Years Team aims to increase participant’s knowledge and understanding of four areas of SEND including Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Sensory impairments (hearing and vision).
The session provides an insight into how all practitioners can support parents of children with SEND. It will provide some practical strategies and ideas to ensure inclusion and good practice set out in the SEND Code of Practice guidance.
