The Department of Health recommends Daily Guidelines are: 3-4 units for men and 2-3 units for women with at lest one alcohol free day a week.

Drink above these levels regularly and you are increasing the risk of damaging your health.

Stick to the recommended daily alcohol limits and you're more likely to look and feel in better shape.

Healthy Change is a new, innovative referral and support service for adults living in Nottingham who are at risk of developing heart disease. If you smoke, are overweight, physically inactive and/or have a poor diet, Healthy Change could help you to adopt a healthier lifestyle with:

Telephone access to trained staff who will assess your needs and ensure that you have easy access to the right support services, which could include the Physical Activity on Referral Service, Slimming World on Referral, Cook and Eat sessions, Cycling for Health and Best Foot Forward.
On-going individual motivational support and coaching.  Call 0345 604 7352 to find out more.  Available 8am-8pm Monday - Friday


Last Orders Specialist Triage provides alcohol assessments and advice for all Nottingham City residents over 18 years of age. The service is available 7 days a week 10am-7pm at 8-8 Health Centre (NEMS), Upper Parliament Street. Residents can just drop in or if they would like to make an appointment they should call our office on 0115 9709590.  Clinics are also available across the City (times and days vary) and to make an appointment residents should contact the office on the number above. Referrals can also be made via GP/Practice Nurse. Last Orders Specialist Triage provide one to one assessments by a clinical nurse specialist who will offer confidential, non-judgmental advice and referral on to the most appropriate service for that client.
