Nottingham Green Partnership is developing an action plan to promote the opportunities that Nottingham has to remain at the forefront of sustainable development.
Sustainable development is about improving quality of life through environmental protection, well-being and economic growth. The terms being ‘green’ or environmentally friendly are often used when talking about sustainability. The Sustainable Development Action Plan will cover five themes – water, biodiversity, energy, transport and waste and will set out a range of ideas to encourage and inspire sustainable practices for citizens, businesses and non-profit sector.
Have your say
The partnership is asking for city residents to contribute towards the development of the action plan by taking part in an online survey. The feedback will be used to ensure that the plan supports the actions people are already taking and prioritises what is important to the people who live in the city.
The survey can be found at Green Partnership Sustainability Survey
All respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to see CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: VAREKAI at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Friday 10th March (evening show). The deadline for the prize draw is 28th February 2017 – the survey will remain open.
Nottingham Green Partnership is made up of a wide range of organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors that are working together to reduce the city’s environmental impact.
