We are currently offering two training courses, Signs of Safety awareness workshops, and Safeguarding Children and Young People from Child Sexual Exploitation training.
Please see the flyers below for further information on each training course. If you have any questions then please get in contact by emailing email@example.com or calling 0115 876 4762.
Please use the NCSCB Application Form to apply for places on our courses, making sure you provide all the information requested.
All courses are now delivered at Loxley House, unless otherwise specified, and reception have been asked by ourselves, to not give access to people who arrive for our courses later than 15 minutes after it started. So if a course starts at 1.30pm, you will not be allowed into the course if you arrive after 1:45pm.
Please ensure you arrive in good time to avoid disappointment, or contact us if you are unexpectedly delayed.
NCSCB will fund all training, except for profit making organisations, including Academies, which will be charged £100 per person per course.
However, if you are offered a place and fail to attend having made no apologies (no less than 24 hours of the course commencing), an invoice will be sent directly to your line manager, for the sum of £40.00, in order to recuperate any losses.
Introductory level safeguarding training
Agencies are responsible for providing introductory-level safeguarding training to their staff and volunteers. Community and voluntary sector organisations who do not have the capacity to provide training to their staff and volunteers can access safeguarding training from Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service. Information about their training can be accessed here.
The Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB) and Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board (NCSCB) have developed an annual Training Content Checklist for all organisations that work with children and young people to provide assurance that their organisation’s Introductory Safeguarding Children training covers the minimum course content. Information about the checklist can be found here.
The Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board (NCSCB) and Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB) have a competence framework for safeguarding children. The competence framework enables partner agencies to review and assure the Boards that different staff groups are competent to an appropriate level and accessing appropriate training to support this.
