Get to know the Fostering and Adoption team

Come and find out more

Thinking of fostering? Got lots of questions and need some answers? This is a great way to find out about the different types of fostering and how you could make a difference to children and young people in Nottingham.

Some of our foster carers will join us at our events and share their experiences with you to help you understand what is involved in this highly rewarding role.
There's lots of opportunities to ask questions too and throughout the event we will tell you about... the process to apply to foster and what's involved in that. We'll explain the excellent level of support, training and guidance you can expect to receive as part of our team and of course not to forget the tea, coffee and biscuits to keep us going throughout the evening!

Please feel free to bring your children along too if you would like to - it's important that they feel involved if you are thinking of becoming a 'fostering family'!

We hold monthly fostering events on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 14 February 2018 6:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Wednesday 14 March 2018 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Monthly adoption events take place on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 7 March 2018 6:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Wednesday 2 May 2018 6:30pm to 8:30pm

All of the information evenings are at Nottingham City Council, Loxley House, Station Street Nottingham, NG2 3NG. There is free parking underneath Loxley house (Please get your ticket validated at reception before leaving).

If you can email us to let us know you're coming at: fainfo@nottinghamcity.gov.uk that will be useful to make sure we have enough biscuits! However, no appointment is necessary. Please see below our information guide, which will be available on the evening.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.
