Residential and Nursing Care Home Accreditation Process

If you are opening a care home within the Nottingham City or Nottinghamshire County region, or you would like to provide continuing healthcare services for adults over 18, this page outlines how your organisation can apply for a contract with Nottingham City Council and Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Application Pack

The accreditation application pack for the Provision of Residential and Nursing Care Home Services for Adults - including NHS Continuing Healthcare is available for download here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/nhs-standard-contract/.

Please submit completed application forms to: procurement@nottinghamcity.gov.uk

Information and instructions about how to complete the application form are available to download above. Applications will only be accepted from organisations holding a current registration with CQC. Providers with more than one home in the City and/or County will only need to complete one application form, listing all homes when prompted. Providers wishing to deliver Continuing Health Care services should apply to be accredited using the same application form.

Any questions in relation to completing the application form or the content of the contract terms and conditions and/ or service specification should be directed to: procurement@nottinghamcity.gov.uk

Next Steps

During the assessment, providers may be contacted for further information or to clarify responses. Approved providers will be issued with a joint contract with Nottingham City Council and Nottingham City CCG, a draft of which is available to download and view as part of the application pack. A list of accredited providers is made available to citizens and their families/ carers to support them in making an informed choice when selecting a residential placement.
