Prizes for the Pick of the Bunch

Nottingham's top gardeners have been honoured at Nottingham in Bloom's annual presentation evening at the Council House. Prizes were presented to individuals, community groups and businesses to celebrate their success in the Nottingham in Bloom Garden Competition.
Councillor Malcolm Wood, Chair of the Nottingham in Bloom Working Group, said: "This event is a highlight of our calendar when we congratulate people across the city who have made huge efforts to brighten up their own area. We received a record number of entries in the garden competition this year and the judges commented on the many inspiring gardens and community projects they visited and the enthusiasm of those involved."
The garden competition was an important element in Nottingham's victory as 'Champion of Champions' in the East Midlands in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions this year.
