Celebration day 2008!
On 16th April over 300 children, their teachers and family members joined in the Book Award celebrations at Nottingham's Council House.
In the grand surroundings of the Ballroom Nick Sharratt and Kes Gray were presented with their award for '006 and a bit' - voted favourite book in the Emerging Reader category - by the Lord Mayor Cllr Munir.
Children who had also won prizes, for written and art work, received their prizes too and queues soon developed for book signings after some brilliant author and illustrator workshops.
Nick Sharratt said afterwards 'I had a great time and was delighted and honoured to be an award winner'.
