On-Street City Centre Parking

Nottingham has several thousand on-street parking spaces. You will find information about these here, including tariffs and ways to pay.

Failure to clearly display a valid ticket may result in a  penalty charge being issued.

Where to Park

The map below represents the location of each pay and display machine as at 21st May 2013. There are three different zones within the city, with each one operating a different tariff. Click on the pins for more information about that location.

Please note: A minimum fee of £1 applies in all zones and there is no maximum stay limit

While care and attention is taken to produce this map, there may be inaccuracies in the exact location of each machine and associated on street parking bays. It is the parker's responsibility to check for local restrictions that may in place, either temporary or permanent. This includes tidal bus lanes where there may be no waiting or no loading at certain times of the day.

Contact us by email at parking@nottinghamcity.gov.uk  or by phone on 0115 915 2111 and select option 3 charges.

 RingGo! Cashless Parking

Drivers using some City Council owned car parks and on street bays can pay simply by using their mobile phone. The option to pay by cash remains unchanged.

Register Online for RingGo

Or for free registration call 0115 8714000 or visit www.myRingGo.co.uk

As part of Nottingham City Council's commitment to providing excellent customer service, motorists parking at certain car parks will no longer need to make sure they have the right cash to pay for a parking ticket. Instead, they can make a quick call to register to use RingGo and then pay for parking using their debit or credit card.

This is an easy and convenient way of paying for parking and benefits include:

  • Not having to hunt around for/carry loose change
  • Being able to extend their stay by sending a simple text - no need to go back to the car to top up payment
  • Perfect for people 'on-the-go', saving time queuing for parking machines
  • RingGo is also available as an i-phone app, so is perfect for people with smart phones

RingGo payment facility is available at the following car parks: Curzon Street, Brook Street, Aberdeen Street and Canal Street; plus where there are on-street parking meters in the city centre.

After parking, motorists simply dial the local rate number (0115 871 4000), which is shown on pay and display machines. Users will need to provide the location code (shown on parking meter signs), their car registration number and the length of time they want to park. Payment will then be taken from their debit/credit card.

First time users will need to give details of the payment card they use, but the next time they use the service they will only need to provide the last four digits. This is because the state-of-the-art technology is able to identify the mobile phone that is being used. Pre-registration can also be done on-line at the RingGo website.
