Area Panels

The City Council has developed nine Area Committees to help increase the involvement of all residents (tenants, leaseholders and owners) at a local level and involve local people in decisions about a number of services. Aligned to these are the nine Area Panels.

The Area Panels have been established to help shape the service that Nottingham City Homes offers. The panels are made up of between 12-15 tenants and leaseholders that meet every other month to discuss a varied agenda including issues such as performance, value for money and local issues.  The responsibility for area panels lies with the respective Area Housing Manager who goes to both Area Committee and Area Panel meetings to make sure continuity of information is passed between the two.  Meetings are also attended by a representative from Property Services (mainly to discuss issues around repairs) and local ward councillors and the City Council Neighbourhood Management Team are also invited to attend.

All tenants and leaseholders are encouraged to take part and we are always looking for enthusiasticpeople to join us. Meetings are held in comfortable surroundings and food, refreshments, child care and travel expenses are provided.
