Background

Nottingham City Council tenants and leaseholders were balloted in July 2004 to see if they wanted their housing service to remain with the Council or with a newly created arms length company.  This is because we need our homes to be brought up to the Government's Decent Homes Standard and need sufficient funding to do this.

Tenants and leaseholders voted for a new Company to be created. The pages on this part of the site explain the steps we took in consulting our tenants and leaseholders, the kind of information we produced and how it was circulated.  The results that came out of this consultation process are also explained.
