Biographical Details

I was born in Manchester and came to Nottingham in 2003 and have stayed ever since.

I represent Basford Ward which is a collection of estates covering the Old Basford, Heathfield, Whitemoor, Stockhill and Highbury Vale area. I currently live in Highbury Vale and I have lived in different parts of the Basford ward including Whitemoor Estate and opposite Vernon Park.

On the Council I am a member of the Executive Board with special responsibility for the Council’s Adults and Health portfolio and I chair the City’s Health and Wellbeing Board.

I work as a Trade Union Organiser and have previously worked for the Labour Party and the City Council.

Outside of Council and work life I am a keen runner, support Manchester City and have two border collies!
