Medilink Midlands provides specialist business support to boost the region’s economic output from the life sciences and medtech sector, by overcoming barriers to growth. With comprehensive knowledge and networks, Medilink Midlands offers a gateway to connectivity and aids collaborations within the academic, business, government and clinical communities. Helping to navigate the complex health innovation landscape and to accelerate access for new technologies and treatments into the NHS.
About our UKSPF project
Medilink Midlands, working in partnership with the University of Nottingham (UoN) will provide high-quality business and innovation support to companies already in, or transitioning into, the life science and medtech sectors within the locality of Nottingham City, to ensure Nottingham City continues as a city of pioneering medtech and health tech innovation, globally.
The MeTAP* business support programme will support companies to accelerate innovation and provide the right skills and tools to enable companies to increase their competitive advantage by working across other industry suppliers and partners, academic demand lead research, NHS, local government and other sector stakeholders.
MeTAP* will provide:
- Access to high-value life science sector specific expertise including IP, regulatory, clinical adoption and innovation test beds
- Cross-sectoral knowledge e.g. manufacturing, digital, virtual test environments
- Grant funding
- Signposting and sectoral networking opportunities
- Innovation Accelerator Programme (IAP)
This will be achieved through a comprehensive two-year business support programme of sector specific:
- Business Support
- Product Development Support
- Special Interest Groups
- Technology collaboration events
